More on this from the SO migration help bot:
"Some legacy SpeakOut numbers were originally set up on older routing systems that can’t be moved to the new 4G VoLTE platform. Because of how those numbers were provisioned years ago, they can’t be re-assigned on the new network, so they show as not eligible for migration."
and
"Yes—if your current number isn’t eligible, you can still keep your SpeakOut balance by migrating your account to the new 4G VoLTE network with a new number."

So I was able to get two new numbers with the migration SIMs and have the balances transferred by using the form at
https://www.speakout7eleven.ca/contact-us
and exchanging several eMails with customer service

Losing my original numbers was not the best solution but, for me, better than losing my balances

I am having a terrible time with Speak Out, I have a OnePlus Nord 30 and the new migration sim doesn't work, my old sim does fine, I have been in touch with support and luckily I was able to get the funds back in my account, because it did show for a while that the account had expired.
I have reinstalled the sim and still no service, it's horrid that you can't to anyone!
