You must get a 7-11 sim card and call customer to change the number to your old number, your balance will transfer over. You should call customer service to ensure that your balance is keeped

That's one of the drawbacks with Speakout. If you lose your phone, you might be screwed.

Customer Service asked me for an "authorization code" for my account when I first activated it; they ask me for it when I call them.

Anne M,

Thanks for the contribution in this discussion. I forgot that Speak Out might ask for a code. I would think that it's the code for your voicemail. I know I had to give Speak Out my old voicemail code from my Virgin Canada phone, so they knew for a fact that the account was indeed mine.

No it didnt seem to have anything to do with vmail; it seemed to be more for general account queries etc. - maybe a new procedure for newer accounts? I didn't request a code be put on the account but I'm sure if someone wanted one Cust Svc would do it for them. It's just yet another PIN to remember though!!

I'm pretty sure the phone was lost to the ocean, so no ones' going to find it.
