Hey..So i have a quick question.

I don't have a 7-eleven in my city, and the nearest one is in Ottawa which is a different area code. So if I was to drive up to Ottawa and buy a phone from a store there, and bring it back to my city(Kingston), will I be able to use the phone in my area code, or will the phone be locked to an Ottawa area code number?
Thanks.

You can activate the phone with the Ottawa number. Then call SO customer service, explain that you live in Kingston and ask them to give you a new phone number that's in a Kingston exchange. There should be no charge for this.

Kingston and Ottawa have the same area code. Just activate, all calls in the area code are local calls.
