Fail to unlock ZTE fanfare 3

I bought a ZTE fanfare 3 (Cricket Wireless) phone from Amazon.ca to use with 7/11 SpeakOut. I have bought 7/11 SIM card and voucher and activated online. After many unsucessful attempts to unlock the phone with the SIM card and with the unlock code that came with the phone, I am now locked out from trying any more. (SIM network unlock PIN. You still have 0 times to unlock the device). What should I do now? Whom to call? Cricket Wireless, ZTE, 7/11? If you have any idea, please help.

Contact the vendor. All phones are supposed to be sold unlocked now.

Call Cricket Wireless first. Weird how you bought an American phone locked to an American carrier, on a Canadian site. If contacting Cricket fails, try Amazon.ca, since that's where you bought the phone. If it was being sold as being unlocked, you may be able to get a full or partial refund.
