Are you asking if you can tether your laptop to your SO phone so that you use the ULB from the SO phone as your Internet connection on your laptop?

I got that working on my Palm Treo but I had to load a USB modem app onto the Palm so that my laptop saw it as a modem connection.

I tether my MacBook pro to my iPhone with th SO ULD. I had to buy the mywi app from cydia, plus you have you set up a proxy on the web browser on your laptop, but it works great. It's actually faster on my mbp!

From the official site:
"7-Eleven Speakout Wireless Unlimited web plan Features cannot be used: (1) for access to the Internet, intranets, or other data networks except as the devices's native applications and capabilities permit, or (2) for any applications that tether your device to laptops or personal computers other than for the use of Wireless Synch."
