Hey guys, I have a question regarding porting a speakout phone number over to fido.

I just signed a 3year contract with fido and told them that I wanted to port my current speakout phone number over to my new fido account. I still have some money left on my speakout account, so my question is what happens to this balance if I do not use it up before the porting process is complete? Will it stay with the SIM so I can sell it to someone else and they can reactivate it with the funds intact? or will the money on the account be gone?

The money/balance will be gone. If you port the number associated with the sim to Fido, then the sim will be de-activated, and the balance will be lost.
