so it says that long distance is .30 cents a minute. Does that mean .30 on top of the local rate of .20 cents a minute, or is it JUST .30 cents a minute?

i think other carriers say .30 a minute but thats on top of the local rate.

and also, on fido,
if im from victoria, go to vancouver , an make a local call in vancouver it doesnt charge for long distance. is it the same for speakout?

any info on LD would help,
thanx

Not sure whether the the 30 cents per minute for LD is in addition to the 20 cents per minute.

If you make a call to a local number while in Vancouver, you should only expect to pay the 20 cents per minute. No LD

I made a one-minute call to the States and 30 cents was deducted from my balance. So, yes, it's just 30 cents/min. flat, in total, for long-distance calls.

I was told by CS that there is no roaming with this plan. Said if you are out of your local area - all outgoing calls are long distance even if it is a local call. So a Vancouver number being used in Calgary is all long distance for local calls. But a call from Calgary back to your home area in Vancouver is local. All incoming calls are local regardless of where you are. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks.
ps - same for Petro Canada plan.
