Did anybody called 911 from these phones? Did it work? Since the toll free number for CAA doesn't seem to work on these phone, it is important to know if they actually working for 911 calls.

All cellphones made in the past few years let you call 911 for free even if you don't have a SIM or there's no airtime left on your prepaid account (or your postpaid account isn't activated.)

Please do not try calling 911 to test. Keep the line open for those who need emergency assistance.

There's a monthly 911 fee on all cell phone plans (for 7-Eleven it's 99 cents per month) so 911 works.

I know that we suppose to get 911. But the question is did anyone actually called so that we know for sure it work. I am not asking someone to try that. Just want to know if someone at this forum happen to be in a situation and called 911.

I called 911 a while back when a truck went into the ditch across the street from us at 1am. I was on the line with them for about half an hour, with no problems.
