Is there any way you can double the amount of posts? Right now, I see only sim card buy and sell posts flooding the Most Recent Topics With Unread Posts thread, which is fine, but only if you are interested in that sort of thing. But it is drowning the thread, and bumping the other posts, so why not double or triple the posts to like 25 or so?

Good idea. I've been finding the limit too small as well but never did anything about it. It will now show the 20 latest posts.

Thank you! But [hint, hint...] it would still be nice to be able to filter out specific forums, e.g. Phone exchange and Referral code requests

You can always use the search if you are looking for a particular item. It seems the search button is one of the least used features of this site.

Also, if you just want to go into a particular forum, just click on the specific forum on this page:

https://www.speakoutwireless.ca/speak/

Then, the latest topic will be at the top, and you not need to see anything but the specific forum you just clicked into.

I can see a filter being implemented, as Bylo suggested, so that the user would only see forums that they may be interested in. But you know what that means, right Bylo? More work for Peter, means less "pay" for us! 🙂 lol

Perhaps because, in my experience, it doesn't work very well.

I don't. I want to avoid a particular subforum, two of them actually, because I have no interest in them. I have nothing to buy. I have nothing to sell. And I can't be bothered with referral bonuses. Yet these days those two subforums account for the majority of posts.

Having a filter is a good idea. I have no time to hack the forum software these days, though...

I've now removed new "Referral code requests" posts from the list. Visitors interested in those posts would have to visit that sub-forum directly (or subscribe to its RSS feed). In the future I might add a cookie-based toggle regarding the display of both the "Referral code requests" and "Phone exchange" sub-forums.
