I have an speakout simcard that I bought 8 months ago and ported a number from my Bell prepaid sim to that speakoout simcard. Works great for 8 months on my motorola flip phone. Suddenly today it just shows up as no service/check sim. Tried it on a different phone and that phone says registration denied then goes to no service check sim/ emergency calls only. Called speakout and they said the sim is broken and needs to be replaced. They want me to buy a new one to replace the faulty sim. The sim is always inside the phone and the phone just stays in my back pack and gets charged every week. Bluetooth is always on so that I can get calls while driving through my bluetooth radio.
Just thought I should share my experience. My older sim card that I have for more than 5 years is still working. It might be these new batches of sim card that is faulty ?
At the very least speakout should have at least allow me to exchange sim card with a working one for a discounted price and have them figure out why the sim stopped working no ?sf-frown_gif

Thanks,
Van

It's not worth it to figure out why a sim card worth pennies failed. It's not cost effective for them. All things wear out, at different intervals. I also had a sim card die awhile ago, and I just ended buying another one.
