Replacing a NOKIA C3 I decided on a BLU Advance 4.0L, good promotion online.
Print out the promo from the Internet and head to 7-11, they don't do that promo (One Minus Point), try to sell me on "their deal" more money and unnecessary extras (One more Minus point).
Checked the Internet for the identical model — Amazon.ca delivers. Also provides lots of reviews.
The phone arrived on time for a scant $4 over the Speak Out promo price. No need to buy $100 of minutes etc. etc.
Install the SIM and battery, start charging and in business.
ERRRRR that is after the Basics, checking this forum and a few other items. Three posts on this forum; one regarding availability = two answers. Two more on technical issues = no answers.
Not so good, but I solved the problems, both have to do with the many layered and convoluted set-up of the Android system, but hey, nothing really that a few hours of Internet perusal won't fix. sf-wink_gif sf-yell_gif
As the title mentions: do your home work since the manual and the quick start guide are skimpy and finding through the new terminology takes some doing.

So good for the money spent, not so good for the time spent getting things to work properly.
For what it's worth, you'll find yourself in good company when you start looking for answers.
