Just noticed today that all our speak out phones has now showed Rogers signal. Does it mean that that Rogers will be taking 711 speak out phones completely?

I do not think anything should be read into that. Over the year, my Speakout phone said they came from various networks, from Home, to Rogers, and Speakout, and back.

I also have a President's choice mobile phone, and depending on the phone, I am told it is a Bell phone, which it is.

In any case, I would not worry about it. It is doubtful not a prelude to change, just some techs monkeying with the network, yet not bothering to cross t's and dot i's for whatever reason.

I agree. When I first went with SpeakOut, my phone said "Home", then "Rogers", and flipped between "Rogers" and "SpeakOut' for quite a while. Nothing to worry about. As long as you can make/receive calls, you are good to go.

I am not really worried. As long as they keep their vouchers last for 365 days I am not going anywhere. I spend less than $15 on my phone monthly. I am a shaw customer hence have shaw open wifi almost everywhere and we do have have free wifi at work. I already dropped the $10 100mb data.

I feel the same way. I am with them for their 365 day expiry on all top-ups. It is the only wireless company to do so.

I noticed this as well and did not think much of it. However last night I noticed that now instead of showing Rogers the cell network is showing "Home". The phone is an ancient iPhone 3GS and removing and reinserting the sim does nothing nor does power cycling. I checked a featured phone of another family member and their phone still shows Speakout.

Anyone have an idea what is going on?

Using an iPhone 4, mine also now shows HOME instead of ROGERS, and neither power cycling or reinserting the SIM works for me either.

Regular cell phone service still appears to work but iMessage is now down... seems to be a recent issue so I will stay alert here for any information.

I'm using an iPhone 5 with iOS 8 and it also shows HOME. But I haven't noticed anything not working so I guess it doesn't matter what it's called. Data plan seems to work as well, though I try not to use it if possible (100MB/month seems to disappear all by itself even with everything but system services turned off—it's really just there for insurance in case I lose the phone).
