Setting MP3 ringtone...problem

I have a Nokia 2630 from P-CanM. I am trying to set my own MP3 ringtones. I am able to trim the mp3 to the section I wanted, (about 40secs) and I am able to use bluetooth connection to transfer the file from my computer to the 2630. The phone is able to play the mp3 music. However, when I try to set the desire MP3 to be the ringtones, it pop a message that said "Key activation not allowed". Anybody has this experiences and what can I do? Is there a key to unlocked that I just missed? Or is it just another business decision that I am forced to buy the mp3 ringtone from them?

I was wondering the same thing. I think that the problem might be solved by unlocking the phone.
I don't have much experience with cellphones and it would be really great if someone who knows what they are doing would reply 😛

From another contributor in another thread:

You can definitely load ringtones via Bluetooth onto the 2760. Unfortunately, as posted elsewhere, you have to use Nokia's software to convert your MP3s into AMR files first. After that, you connect via Bluetooth and use File/Windows/whatever Explorer to drag and drop files back and forth.
