Sorry, if this is covered elsewhere! I have an Iphone 4 that I bought at a garage sale couple of years ago, and it's been working ok, but slowing down as it gets older... Now I have the "other data" problem. In Itunes it shows almost 5 gigs of "other data" just taking up space. It appears the only solution is to reset the phone in Itunes... I've poked around and uninstalled everything large, and there's still 4.8 gigs of wasted space.

When I bought the phone (for 5 dollars!!), it was all smashed up and uncharged, but the girl promised it worked... So I took the risk, took it home, charged it and it worked, so I got it repaired, put in my speakout sim (I had to get cut...) and it's worked ever since... But last time, after I reset it (which it turns out I shouldn't have bothered doing because it locked me out) I had to pay a place to make the phone usable on SO.

My question is: will this still be the case if I back it all up and reset it using Itunes? I think last time I just reset it on the phone, but this time I've sync'd it all up and transferred everything to my computer. Will I still need a working Rogers sim to make the phone work or will it just work with the SO sim? All that make sense? Thanks for any answers!

PS. Still using 6.13 OS, should I upgrade to 7.11 on an old slow iphone 4?

If I can get away from iTunes I will!!!

There is a FREE program called "Copy Trans Control Center " which may let you remove some things.
I use it to add or remove MP3 music and MP4 video files in my iPhone. It also shows APPS and I'm sure you can remove them with this program.

There is nothing that lets you see any of the operating files.
