I was just wondering if the Nokia 5200 comes with a memory card when you buy it with SpeakOut?

Also, is the headphone jack compatible with standard headphones?

Thanks.

Someone e-mailed this answer to me:

Yes, the Nokia 5200 comes with a 1.0GB card.
I can't answer the question on standard headphones.

I'm not sure if the Nokia 5200 is like my Nokia 1208, but...

I know my 1208 will only accept genuine Nokia headsets/headphones. I tried hooking up several non-Nokia headsets, and there's a message that comes on the screen that says "Enhancement not supported", and then it cuts out. How my 1208 knows it's not a genuine Nokia headset is anyone's guess.

I bought a genuine Nokia HS-40 headset for my 1208, and it works fine.

I would say chances are that your 5200 is like my 1208. Nokia only wants you to use Nokia branded headphones, and generic ones will not work.

Interesting. I just tried a wired headphone/mike from my old Telus Sony phone. When I plug it into a Nokia 1600 it doesn't work. No message. It simply doesn't work. The headset works fine with a Bell Mobility Samsung phone. I can't test it with my Moto because I don't have the right adapter.

The Nokia phones use a slightly different headset than most other phones. They use the the same size plug, but it's different somehow.

When my brother got his Nokia 5300 from Rogers it came with an adapter to use regular headphones to listen to music, so perhaps the Nokia 5200 will as well, since it is almost the same phone.
