Has anyone bought the new 2760 and tried it out yet? There seems to be a lot of reports of the audio turning itself off during a call.

For the few calls made to date with our new 2760, it hasn't exhibited problems like the sound cutting out, etc - yet.

Hi
It woks fine for me.
I used to have 1600 before.
2760 is a lots better.
It is definietly worth the price.
It is not substitution for digital camera or decent mp3 player but as a phone with extended organizer/multimedia abilities works great.
To change voice volume press left or right on the navigation wheel. It is as loud as my 1600 used to be.
You also have a build in loudspeaker.
Bluetooth synchronization is good.
I alredy synchronized my contacts from outlook and I am synchronizing callendar everyday. I like the option allowing to edit SMS on PC keyboard and sychronizing it.
I already installed a lot of free games on my phone.
All the problems descriptions from Asia found on the net in my opinion do not apply to our phones. Sold in Canada phones are made in Mexico.
I am not frequently visitor on this forum so do not expect any responses to questins from me.
Thanks
Jan

Thanks for the tip on how to improve the voice volume. I guess i was too lazy to investigate this myself. 🙂

I have since also tried the loudspeaker, and it is not bad at all, contrary to my previous post somehwere else.

I am having issues sending multimedia sms messages. I just wont send. plain text sms sends fine. (I am currebtly using my rogers payg sim, so possibly rogers did not give me this feature.......will update once i know whats going on)

havent tried bluetooth. need to buy a dongle for my pc.

i was under the impression that i could use bluetooth between 2760 phones.......?? but did not get that to work.

I bought the 2760 yesterday and can't figure out certain features:

1. how to see digital time showing with bigger font on the mini display when the phone is folded?

2. how to see the analog clock on the mini display when the phone is folded?

3. how to turn on the light all time on the mini display? Tried to turn off the power saving/sleep on mini display but seems not working.

Appreciate any help.

I finally figured out all these:

The sleep timer is permanently set to 1 minute. If I set the sleep mode on, the mini display will blank after 1 minute. If I set it to off, the phone will show the digital time only on the mini display with bigger font.

I thought when the light on the mini display was off, it was the sleep mode. As I wrote above, I have to wait one minute to see the analog clock coming up.

I don't think this is configurable. The light would only be turned on after the phone is folded and lasted for 10 seconds. The sleep mode on the mini display has nothing to do with the light. It only governs whether the mini display screen saver is shown or blank.

Yea i just got the Nokia 2760 flip phone. Its worth the $50 upgrade. I used the 1600 also and the 1600 was nothing compared with the 2760. The camera has only 0.3 MP and you only have 11 MB on your phone so you'll have trouble holding 2 or more songs, ringtones, etc. For more information go to : http://www.nokia.ca/A4488159.
