Hi
I just bought a used iPhone 6S Plus and wonder if there is a way to know if it is locked to Rogers?
I stuck in my Speakout Sim card and it works fine but that's because SO is on Rogers.
I may want to swap sim cards when I go to Mexico (TELCEL) for the winter.
Would I have to call Rogers and give them the IMEI number to check it or is there another way?

Thx

God it's quiet around here now, I wonder why that is?

The only way to check is to put in another provider's (like Bell) sim card. It will tell you right away if it's locked.

You can call Rogers to get it unlocked, or buy the unlocked code on Ebay. I did the latter, and the unlocked code was sent to me very quickly.

As for your last comment, many people have moved on from SpeakOut to other carriers, especially those who need all the bells and whistles. I'm still here, and will be with SpeakOut as long as it's offered.

Thanks, I'll have to do that, try swapping the "Nano" Sim card for a Bell card which a friend has or my daughters Fido Sim. No hot swap though!

If that works I'm good to go. If not I'll call Rogers.
