Which SIM cards work with SpeakOut?

I have an unlocked GSM phone and want to get the SpeakOut wireless at 7-11. Looks like I have to buy another phone from 7-11?
Ideas? I don't need another phone, just the SIM card. Will a Rogers SIM card work? Any others that might work? I don't have any SIM but there are lots available it seems....
Thanks

The actual, physical phone is just a way to communicate with the radio towers and the Network. The phone doesn't care what SIM card you put in it. The SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) tells the network who you are, and what service you belong to.

To use Speakout, you'll need a Speakout SIM. If you put in a Rogers SIM, then you'll need a Rogers account, and you'll pay Rogers rates. Fido SIM, Fido account, Fido rates.

To use the Speakout service, you can either buy a Speakout package at 7-11, use the SIM, and keep the new phone as a spare (or try to resell it here in the Phone Exchange forum, or somewhere else like your local Craigslist or eBay), or check those same places for someone else selling a SIM, or post a "wanted" ad of your own.
