Hello,

I have been trying for several hour to get Internet browsing with Petro-Canada.

Here is what I did: I bought the Nokia 1661 with a 25$ aritime card. I activated the phone and the Internet service (10$/mo for unlimited browsing). I then installed the SIM card in my MW700 smartphone (Windows Mobile 6.1). When I asked a CSR of petro canada the setting for GPRS to connect to Internet they had no idea what I was talking about, so I tried to Google it. I found:

APN: goam.com
USER/PASS: wapuser1/wap
PROXY: 10.128.1.69 port 80

Does not work

Tried:

Service Name (or Service): RW WAP
Connection Type (or Connection): GPRS
Username: wapuser1
Password: (don't use one, leave blank)
APN: goam.com
Proxy address : 172.25.0.107:80

Does not work

I wonder if anyone currently have Internet browsing working from petro canada with their Windows mobile device? If so, could they share their settings?

Thank you!

Sylvain

Try removing any existing profiles and then let the phone find them for you. Worked on mine.

Did you figure this out?

I can't get it working on my Samsung Hype. Neither of the profile information works.

A little late but here is my solution. I was mistaking by setting the connection in "MyIsp". Instead, I needed to set the connection in "My Work Network" where you can put the proxy there in the "Proxy Settins" tab.

Hope it help
