OfflineThe whole area code/province tends to be a local calling area, so no long distance charges. With other provinces or states, I believe there is around a 30 cent a minute long distance charge, not 100% on the exact rate.
Petro Canada also offers Canada wide calling, but you are limited to 200 to 400 minutes, depending on the plan you pick.
If you have the unlimited plan, I would keep it, because it is not offered anymore. If you have to call out of province regularly, I would get a Skype subscription for $3 a month, 15% less if you pay yearly, and use Skype2go. You set up the long distance numbers on the skype2go web interface ahead of time, and you can then call a local skype2go number for each entry, and skype2go relays that to the long distance number you want to call. Once set up, it is pretty easy to use.
