Ok, some manic keeps texting my phone after I texted the person one time a week ago (this is the old number of a friend of mine). THis is all fine and good except I'm paying $0.05 for each text.

Now there's no way to stop it unless I change my number, I called petro-can and this is what they seem to suggest but with job hunting season right now that's not really a feasible option. Anyone have any solutions they can enlighten me with?

If not this is absolutely ridiculous, I might as well just port my number over to Rogers where incoming texts are free.

Incoming texts are also free on SO.

Changing the number might be the only option, as Petro Canada suggested, unless they can block text messages or any communication from that one number.

Do it! That's what I did. The reduction of the expiry date from 180 days to 120 and increase from 20$ to 25$, plus matching SO's 25c/min rate made me.
