Hi, I was hoping someone can give me some advice about SIM cutters. I've been looking on eBay and I'm trying to decide between getting a regular to micro cutter or a regular to nano cutter. My ultimate wish list would be a cutter that has changable blades/templates that cut regular to micro, regular to nano, and micro to nano but I don't think it exists. Right now, I only need the functionality of a micro SIM so I could buy the reg to micro cutter and be done with it. Or do I plan for the future and buy the regular to nano cutter (assuming more phones will start using nano SIMs) and then put the resulting nano into a nano to micro adapter to cover off my immediate need?

Does anyone have experience with the nano to micro adapters? Do they work well? What about the other nano to regular and micro to regular SIM adapters, in case I want to 'switch sizes' back?

I welcome your feedback and experience.

I have a Regular to Micro SIM cutter. So far I have used it to successfully cut 2 Speakout SIMS for my iphone 4s and my wife's iPhone 4. No issues at all.

I don't like the adapters. Tried using an adapter (micro to regular) with a cut micro SIM on a blackberry 8900 and it was very difficult pushing the SIM into the phone's SIM slot since the adapters do add a little bulk. Ended up just using the frame (the part that was cut off with the SIM cutter) and put the cut micro SIM back on it. Thankfully, that was only for a short period of time so never had to think about it since. I would say it will be a better to buy a SIM cutter(s) to cut to specific size required for phone rather than use the adapters. Then again, my adapters were cheaply made, so others may have different experience.
