So, on the July handset list there is this Fido Moto Renew W233
with 125 minutes start-up time, but it doesn't show up as one of the available phones on their website. So what I am confused about is: can I get this phone (or any of the other non-Nokia handsets) at 7-11, or from somewhere else??
And if I don't buy it from 7-11, I wouldn't be able to get a SO get the SIM card?

Your answer is very simple. As you stated it is a FIDO Moto Renew W233, and it is stated for use with Fido.
That phone list is for phones that may be available (from multiple providers) at a 7-Eleven store, not necessarily for use with Speak Out Wireless. A 7-Eleven store sells phones and phone cards for many different providers. The best way to see if a phone is available at a given store, is to call the individual store, as inventory will change from store to store.

As you can see on the list, the phones that have the Speak Out logo in the same space as the model numbers are for Speak Out Wireless. The rest are for other providers, hence the Rogers, Fido, Virgin phones etc.
