Any word on whether Speakout will offer a real data option?

Let's hope it stays that way, I like what we've got just fine.

Wouldn't it be easier to just go with another carrier if a full fledged data plan what what you are looking for? Not that you are going to get it. They all do VOIP poorly, for example. I have never played with LTE, so using SIP VOIP on LTE may be acceptable.

I agree with bstreet71. SpeakOut is a low cost no frill provider. They don't need all the bells and whistles. If you do need the latest technology or phone, go with a different provider.

you could always just pick up a dual sim adapter for your phone. They are very easy to use and most of the new smartphones now a days its as simple as just opening the app and selecting the secondary sim you wish to use.

Pick up a second pay as you go sim card and the few times you need a full fledge data use that.

I beleive all the major carriers offer data on pay as you go by the day.

For example just pay the $1 for 10mb of service (or whatever their pay as you plans offer) and than just use the secondary sim for the times you actually do need the full fledged data as opposed to the wonderful plan that speakout offers.

I am sure it would still be far cheaper than signing up for a full fledged providers data plan.
