I was out of the country for 2 and a half months, thus never used my Canada cellphone while away. When I returned to Canada, my balance was $0.00. I'd had about $20.00 on the phone before I left. This had never happened before. A new policy? Thank you.

Did you have data enabled on your phone, or a value plan? There are monthly charges that will deduct your balance, whether the phone is used or not. Contact SpeakOut customer service. They are the only ones who can go into your specific account to see what went on.
