How about the wireless network coverage

Someone said that 7-eleven (ztar) doesn't work well in some areas, is it true?

I don't quite understand this statement. Since it uses the Rogers' network, suppose it will work whereever the Rogers works.

BTW, I am in Toronto.

Any answer?

Rogers doesn't have perfect coverage throughout Toronto. There are some areas, even in the downtown core, where Bell may have better coverage (and vice versa.) But yes, SO's coverage should be the same as Rogers.

Each of the 3 main cellphone companies have areas where they are not perfect.

My advice is to find a friend with a Rogers/Fido/SpeakOut/PetroCanada phone and see how the coverage is in the few main places where you're going to be, such as your home, work, etc. If for some reason one of those areas is a crappy area for the Rogers/Fido/Speakout network, then you're not going to be happy. But chances are it will be fine.

sometimes when you port over from a different carrier they would forget to give you full rogers network coverage. In case you find that you are not getting any reception, you should call SO customer service and inquire, usually they are quick to turn on full network coverage.
