Front page local calling grid outdated?

Hey, I make calls from a 416 number to 519 numbers. On this grid https://www.speakoutwireless.ca/wp-content/uploads/long_distance_matrix_aug82008.pdf it says that these are considered local calls for billing purposes. However I called customer service and they said that calls between these area codes would be billed as long distance. Could anyone shed some light on who is right?

Whoever told you that is wrong. Answers can vary from different Speak Out customer service reps, unfortunately. This "local call vs long distance" discussion always comes up on this site. For instance my number is in area code 905. Local calls for me consist of area codes; 905 289 416 647 519 226.

However, I did notice a typo in the grid. If you go to the bottom left, it has area codes 905 289 listed, scroll to the right over that line 10 spaces, and the 'X' says that calls to area code 604 are considered local for me, which is false. Area code 604 is in British Columbia. Whoever did that grid meant to put an 'X' in the 519 226 slot.

Thanks a lot for that info. A few more questions come up:
What about receiving calls? Are they considered long distance?
I am living in 519 but am using a 647 number, am I making 'roaming calls' or are all my 647 calls still considered local? What about 519 calls?
