Speak-out advertises right now (until August 31st) following:

.......And now until August 31, get an extra 200 minutes FREE with every bundle, plus Canada and US Wide Talk. You can add bundles to your phone from within your SpeakOut online account or by calling Customer Service

Bundle Cost
Unlimited Text & 300 Anytime Canada and US Wide Minutes $27.50/ 30 days**
Unlimited Browsing & 300 Anytime Canada and US Wide Minutes $27.50/ 30 days**
Unlimited Text & Browsing & 300 Anytime Canada and US Wide Minutes $37.50/ 30 days**
** Bundles fees will be deducted directly from your account balance every 30 days. Please make sure you have sufficient account balance to cover the cost of the feature you are adding, plus $2.00. See phones to select a data-capable handset.

When I tried to sign up for the unlimited browsing and 300 minutes bundle I was told that the bundle is really only 100 minutes and the promotion adds 200 minutes for one month only and then the bundle reverts to 100 minutes.

This is FALSE ADVERTISING OR AT BEST REALLY CONFUSING INFORMATION ON THE WEBSITE.

A complaint was submitted to the Advertising Standards Canada Council.

If more people mention this false advertising, then maybe Speak-out can be persuaded to do something about that.

yes, this promotion is misleading and should be banned. Any sane person would interpret it as 'if I activate the bundle before 8/31, it is 300 min'.

Agreed. Shame on 7-Eleven.

What I am thinking, is that it is even worse than what it seems, and that the 100 minutes remaining (after the promotion has ended) will be local minutes only.
