Any idea why speakout only allows you to purchase $150 of airtime within a 30 day window?

Probably to cut down on fraud, and/or if people had loads of money on their account and they lost it somehow, there would less of a hit to lose $100 than $500. Just like you can only put a certain amount on a Tim Hortons card, and no more.

Except that I've used up my minutes, and now have to wait another week until I can add airtime, rendering my phone useless in the meantime. Don't they want my money?

Speakout is generally used by light users. If you are making so many calls, wouldn't you be better off with another sort of plan?

That's a good point. If you're using at least $150 a month, SpeakOut is probably not the best option.

True. These were special circumstances, so I have moved on to another provider. Thanks for all of your responses.
