I had the same concern. Customer Service said it was local, and I did a test myself which was also local when I checked my balance after. I think we're good 🙂

The CR rep I spoke with told me the same thing, but she was not 100% sure, however.

I noticed the same thing. The voicemail number is 416. I called 611 and they said checking voicemail will only incur local airtime charges.

call 611 and ask them about how to set up your voicemail on your phone.
btw calling your own phone number to check your voice mail only works when you call from another phone number preferably a landline so that there is no fee

Calling voicemail by calling my cell # shows "Call Modiifed", and then dials the Toronto voicemail # (1-416-626-2382). The problem is, 416 is long distance for me. Are they waiving LD fees for voicemail?

Also, how to I program the "1" key to dial my own # instead of the Toronto LD # by default?
