That would be illegal. Magic Jack isn't a direct competitor of SpeakOut. SpeakOut is strictly a wireless provider.

Majicjack is fairly new technology, and I don't see why Speakout or any other carrier would care. Probably something just got fixed during the porting process.

I just cancelled my Bell mobility contract and got a speakout phone. When I tried to call the speakout number using my majicjack the call wouldn't connect. After a couple days, my old bell number was ported over to speakout and everything works fine now. Does Speakout/Rogers block their numbers from being called by majicjack? Do they do this because they don't want the competition? is there anyway to get your number to work with majicjack?
