Much as telcos had to be forced into allowing number porting, I think they need to be forced to allow you to transfer balances between your phone accounts. My son's phone has a fairly significant roll-over balance that is basically just pure profit for the phone company (not Speakout) because of their short top-up requirements.

Definitely worth a shot, and a good question. As I said, the only thing you can do is name your phones on the site. That's too bad, as I heard there are some providers in the USA where this is possible. I think you can do that with T-Mobile.

Found my answer, when you add the second number/sim it shows up as a completely different account under your regular log in. Both numbers remain with separate account balances, plans, minutes, and expiration dates.

No go, it was worth a shot but no go.

It says on the account page "Add Another Number To Account". I assumed it was to add a second "Line" or phone to the same account. I guess that isn't the case.

What I am trying to accomplish is keeping my number and selling my balance. If I can add another sim/number to the account, then I should be able to remove a number from the account via a port to another provider. Then I could sell my balance and sim to someone interested in it. In theory but not in reality I guess.

Not sure what you are trying to accomplish

There's one number/account per sim card. You can not port a number with closing the account, and losing the account balance.

You can assign different names to phones on the official site (for those who have multiple phones), but each phone retains it's own number of course. Once you port one phone number out, that account (and balance) is gone for good.
