I think it depends on the phone and the mood of the person that provisioned the SIM. I would not worry about it.

I added credit and the sim to an unlocked phone I already had. The strange thing is, the sim reads Rogers on the top of the phone screen. I activated it myself, w/ a Vancouver store code and activation code that was issued with the sim. I immediately added credit and have activated voice mail, all on the SO network.

After a few days I called and ported a Rogers sim 604 number to the new SO sim. I also activated to Unlimited Browsing option...

Has anyone had a SO sim activated and then show up in phone as on Rogers service?
