I called 611 and asked them to reset the internet connection for my number. I was asked to leave the phone off for 10 minutes, then try again. Speeds dramatically increased.

No matter what time it is, It is always constant. I can live with 300 to 500 kbps, but the speed I get is a bit frustrating.

But more than likely, Rogers has been throttling. They have been for a while now. When it is throttled, you can do a speedtest, the speed is always steady around 300kbps download.

I don't mind if UMB is throttled at 300-500 kbps but I wish they open all ports.

It is nice to have megabit speed but with the current pricing, I rather pass.

yay/nay? is this a sign of SO moving along with their new data scheme?
