If the tracking device can send and receive data by HTTP or HTTPS, and can accept APN and proxy settings, you might be on to something. I use Google Latitude on my Nokia E71, and it can be used for tracking. Obviously not the same thing, but the concept is the same. You would need a $10 a month data plan though.

It only uses about 2-3 MB a month of data. If this is possible what is the cheapest pay as you go rate i should be buying? Thanks
