I have 2 SO Sim cards, 1 works in any GSM phone that I tried, currently Asus PDA.

The other Sim card worked on the original Nokia and a LG. It does not work in many other phones that I have tried.

There are different versions of SIM cards. Older ones may not work with newer phones.

Sorry for delay answering, I have been away.

The phone is definitely unlocked, I have used it with Fido, Rogers, AT&T and T-Mobile SIM cards.

I would email Samsung and just ask why it might not work with all sim cards. I have found that some phones are just "glitchy".
Unfortunately, there is no 100% guarantee that a SO sim will work in any given phone at any given time, be it unlocked or not.

Make entirely sure that the phones you are trying are indeed unlocked. Either by inserting a Fido sim, or a sim from one of the USA providers (AT&T/T-Mobile).

My wife would like to use it on a old unllocked Samsung, which works with 1 SO Sim but not the other.

I called SO support and was told that they only guarantee and support phones they sell.
They told me to call Samsung, which is total nonsense as the phone works perfectly with other SO Sim cards and other companies cards.

I havee seen many messages on this forum from people that have used their SO Sim cards on many phones.

Anyone else have this problem?

Is there a solution?
