Apparently it's a known issue. If you encouter this just download an app from the market place called "SMS Time Fix" You can adjust the offset to whatever you want.

It only works for future SMS, it won't restructure your old SMS messages.

I have the same issue. I recently got an unlocked HTC Desire. I noticed that all the text messages I recieve are 4 hours behind.

I am not sure if it is a phone setting or if it is the actual messaging server issue. I can adjust my phone to be in a different timezone. That sort of fixes the issue but then all my apps kind of are now pushed 4 hours ahead.

Anyone have any ideas?

Today I received a few SMS messages and I noticed the timestamps were off about 4h?
