Yes, but not from SpeakOut. However, people on this forum offer SO SIMs for sale privately.

That balance is stored on the cellphone provider's system, in this case Ztar. So to confirm what manny said, when you buy more airtime and activate it (also on Ztar's system) your SIM card doesn't change.

Dunno about "completely" but on this subject, yes. Nokia does make non-GSM phones that don't use SIMs (e.g. as sold by CDMA operators) but the Nokia phones that 7-11 sells for use with SO are all GSM.

(BTW this was on vancouver island, B.C)
