I turn my phone on for only about 1 hour a day on my way home from work and I get notified about any SMS or voice mail messages that were sent to me while my phone was off.

If I just get the SIM and $100 credit, I know I can just stick it into my unlocked GSM (6230b). What I am worried is, I usually turn the 6230b phone off or even remove the SIM sometime. So if I was to get a text msg or missed call, will the phone get notified when I turn on my phone?

Thanks
