I have a friend who uses Rogers, and her phone seems to be fine there, and I've also used a Telus phone there, which was less than stellar but still okay. So 7-11 should be fine then.

Alright, thanks guys. I think I will be getting mine soon.

It's on the Rogers network, so if your friends have no problem up at SFU with their Rogers phones, you should have no problems with a 7-Eleven phone.

I'm not sure how it will work around SFU but I'm sure it would be fine. I had my speak out phone at a friends house in North Vancouver and I only had 1 bar of reception but my friend with Telus had no service, so it looks like its better then Telus.

Hi

I've read some old posts that said the speak out service does not have good coverage in non-urban areas. I will be using it in greater Vancouver so it shouldn't be a problem, but I'm wondering if anyone here has had any experience with it in the Burnaby mountain area, particularly in and around SFU?

Thanks
