<p>I don't see why you couldn't use those cards for making cheap long distance calls but remember that all calls, including to the phone card's access number, incur SpeakOut's standard 20Â¢/min air time charge. So, using a phone card you could make LD calls for 23Â¢/min instead of SpeakOuts 30Â¢/min (or higher overseas.)</p>

The only time you would lose your balance is if your account expired before you reload </p>
