FYI:
Although the Fine Print says that you get to keep your phone number for 45 days after your account expires, during these 45 days YOU CANNOT PORT OUT YOUR PHONE NUMBER: you'll get an "IS NOT ELIGIBLE" error.

For reference, this is what you need to port out your phone number:
- an account that is not "expired"
- your IMEI
- your SO phone number that you want to port
- your 4-digit pin

In my case, since I ended up trying to port my phone number a few days after my account expired (mostly because I had not looked into what information was required for porting), I now have to pay Speakout $25 to make my account active, before I promptly switch it over to the new provider.
