I had 2 sim cards stolen and reported it to Speakout, They froze my account and
transfered the credit on the old sims to new sims. The trick is you have to call in
before activating the new sim, so that they can transfer information or previous numbers onto it. In one case, I activated a sim and once that was done, I couldn't transfer an old number to it. So its important to do any changes before activating your new sim.

I have always known that when a number/account is tied to a sim, and that number is ported to another provider, the old sim is deactivated. Once the number/account is deleted from a sim, there is nothing to get reactivated. I have never heard of an old sim being reactivated, and I've had a cell phone since 1989. There's nothing in it financially for the provider. Once a number is ported, the old sim is dead.
