anybody know the procedure to port number from SP to Bell or Rogers?

Call SO customer service to get your account number. Then call Bell/Rogers CS and provide them your phone number and one of the following: your account number, your password/PIN or your phone’s Electronic Serial Number/Mobile Equipment Identifier (ESN/MEID) number which is located on the back of your phone under the battery.

Not sure if I completely understood your question, but: the phone number is attached to the SIM card. Once you port away the number, the old SIM card is useless. Your old Speak Out phone would be useful, but someone would have to put in their own SIM card.

Hi,
I will get a new phone from work and won't need my SO sim card any more - hate to leave SO but I really won't need 2 phones. I am planning on selling it on the phone exchange forum, but I want to port my current phone number before selling the SIM card. My question now is: when I sell the sim card it will already have the number ported to Bell? Anything I need to consider when selling it? I believe that the sim card should have a 'number code' on it that can be used to activate it with customer service, and then the buyer would get a local (where their local area is) number assigned?
Thanks for any advice,
Marc
