        	        	<description><![CDATA[<p>Yup got that and I'm looking at their phones. Our local 7-11 only carries one model (Alcatel 871A) but I may pick up the BLU from Amazon instead. Works out to be cheaper when shipping is factored in.</p>
<p>Anyways, I'm still in research mode as the CDMA shutdown isn't till January 2017.</p>

You do have to make sure the account is active though,  which is usually the case at least 30 days after you have a zero balance.  With some providers, it could be later than that, but you are probably playing with fire if you want to keep your number.</p>

<p>That is partially correct. When the Virgin account's funds depleted, the account will only be deactivated after 60 days. The account is still active during this 60 days, if I buy a top up within the 60 days, I could use the phone again.</p>
<p>In any case, I confirm the Virgin account is active and it has zero balance. I am wondering if I can port a zero balance Virgin Mobile Prepaid phone number to Speakout?</p>
