Playing PokemanGo while driving and killing someone is NOT an accident.

Number 1.) Using a handheld device in your car is ILLEGAL in Ontario
See: https://www.ontario.ca/page/distracted-driving

Number 2.) Beginning Sept. 1, 2015 the minimum fine in Ontario for drivers caught using electronic devices rises from $280 to $490. Additionally, motorists will be hit with three demerit points on their licences. Get caught three times, and you’ll soon find yourself with a suspended driver’s license.

Number 3.) You have to be an absolute moron to do this, especially when behind the wheel !!!

Number 4.) Quote" Don't Pokemon hunt from cars, THAT uses up data way too fast. Quote"
What moronic reasoning is behind this statement !!!!

You absolutely can play PokemonGO on Speakout. My son is very active on it. If you play a lot, of course, it will use up a lot of data, but for casual and even medium duty play it is quite feasible. He is using it on an iPhone5. This month he did upgrade to the 500MB plan (had been on 100MB) partly to have more for Pokemon and partly for other reasons. Don't Pokemon hunt from cars, THAT uses up data way too fast (I think it's loading too many maps and Poke-locations since you are travelling through a lot of territory). But for an hour a two a day of walking around Poke-hunting, it's fine. And for a one-time scavenger hunt, absolutely!

That's good to know.

I really have no reason to use Pokémon, but I was invited to a scavenger-type event that's based on the game. I couldn't download the app due to not running Lollipop and was going to take a run at upgrading via CyanogenMod 11, but it sounds like it won't get me where I need to go anyway. (Given my measly 100MB of data) And could be a lot of work for one day of use!

Hi,

I was able to get Pokemon Go working on a Rogers iPhone 5 (with a SpeakOut sim card). In the FAQ --> Data --> “How do I get data and MMS to work on my iPhone?”
https://www.speakout7eleven.ca/support/prepaid-phone-questions
The instructions are straight forward and easy. (you do need WiFi)

Yup, I would get a$50 or $100 plan so that a 6 year old can play! It's really one of the important things! I'm just joking around and being sarcastic.

Is this true that Speakout 100-500 MB or even 2 GB will not support Pokemon Go? I called and that's what a CSR said. I can't tell since I'm not on a plan. Please let me know if it works for any of you. I tried the 100 MB it did not work indeed. Very disappointing for my child, who is asking me to get on a plan that works. Please advice if it works for you.
