Once you port your existing SpeakOut number to Rogers, any remaining balance attached to that SpeakOut number will be gone for good. As with my post above, you cannot transfer balances between accounts.

This doesn't really help. I know that I can use my SIM in another phone. The issue is that I want to keep my Speakout phone/SIM but I would like a new phone number for it. I want to port my existing number over to the other plan.

It doesn't sound like it can be done though because speakout would look at it as though I was transferring balance to another phone.

Actually you can move your SIM to another unlocked GSM phone and it will work airtime and all, but you are still with SO then! I have had a small problem with my Blackberry and until it got corrected I used my previously used 5230 Nokia without any problem.

No, it's not possible. From the main site:

“Not that I would, but can I transfer my airtime to other SpeakOut Wireless phones?”

“No. SpeakOut Wireless Airtime can only be used with the phone the airtime is assigned to.”

I don't know if I am just making things overly complicated.

Here is the situation:

1) I am going to get a cell plan through Rogers.

2) I want to port my existing S/O phone # to the new Rogers plan.

3) I have a speakout balance and would like to have that balance transferred to a new Speakout sim/phone.

IS this possible???
