        	        	<description><![CDATA[<p>I bought a new phone and I got three beeps when I tried to call out. I called the customer service number and they told me that my number did not exist on their registry. I had to take out the SIMM and read various numbers to them off the back of the phone. Then they said they would reactivate the phone and it should be available to call out after 1/2 hour.</p>

        	        	<description><![CDATA[<p>I'm currently experiencing the same problem.  I just bought the 1600 and I cannot make ANY outgoing calls.  Not even 611, *777 or *888 work.  I also get beeps after hitting send and there is no dial tone before the call is automatically cancelled.  </p>
<p>Does anyone know how long activation is supposed to take? 2 hours?</p>

<p>I put my Fido sim in 711 speakerphone(which was not yet acivated) and after putting Fido sim and then it shows Fido and It was on fido network and I was able to use on Fido network.</p>

        	        	<description><![CDATA[<p>Hi, I just got a new 1600 with the 100 minutes package. I insert my battery and turn on the phone. At 9pm PST today, when I try to make any calls, to any number, including *888 and *777 the phone waits a few seconds and immediately  I get four beeps and the call is instantly cancelled. Anyone know whats going on? Is this normal/abnormal?</p>
