I noticed that MMS is now available on Speakout. To use it, do you need a data plan? It also lists a 0.50 cent charge per message sent, but also mentions that it counts toward your available data? Does data need to be enabled on the phone with settings to send/receive MMS?

A bit confused.

MMS is a bit of a rip off. I called CSR to confirm MMS and they have indicated it is only available with the data plan ONLY. And the cost is 50cent per MMS plus the data is taken from our cap. So if you are sending a 100kB file, it will reduce your balance by 100kB. So the actual cost is 50cent plus the data. You might as well just send it via email or some other form of instant messaging.
