You can try Ebay. Type in "qwerty gsm" in the search field (and click the box to search in both the title and description) and you'll find a large selection of phones - you're bound to find one that you like. That's where I bought my current phone.

Just be careful when shopping on Ebay be careful - there are many honest sellers, but some dishonest ones as well. Just use common sense.

Also, when buying a phone make sure it is a GSM phone that uses at least the 850 and 1900 MHz bands (the ones used in North America). It can use other GSM bands as well, but the 850 and 1900 ones are important. Ideally, it should be an unlocked phone - meaning it is not locked to any particular company (like Fido, T-Mobile, AT&T, etc) so you can put any SIM card in and use it.

Alternatively, you can search on Ebay for "qwerty GSM Rogers" and find a GSM phone that is locked to the Rogers network. Phones locked to the Rogers network can be used with a Speakout sim card, and might be cheaper than unlocked ones.

You can buy refurbished BlackBerrys for under $200 e.g. http://factorydirect.ca/catalo.....p?cat=7110

As long as the phone is unlocked (or locked to Rogers) it will work with SO for voice and SMS text only (i.e. not advanced features like data and BB e-mail.)

Hi..
I was hoping someone could recommend a good "qwerty" phone for my 15 yr old "texter" daughter. I know I shouldn't indulge her.. but she isn't crazy about the Nokia ones offered from SO .Any suggestions would be great.. Budget is no more than $200... Thanks!!!
